Happy New Bridge Belgrade

New Ada Bridge
After almost 30 years, the new bridge arises above Belgrade. The new Ada Bridge, with its magnificent and unique pylon, rises 200m above Sava river and represents new era for citizens of Belgrade. This is one of the final steps in dealing with traffic problems. Bridge has been opened for transport in the New Year's Eve, but it still isn't fully operational. Belgrade waited for this for such a long time, people were watching this bridge growing for the last 3 years, and got pretty emotional. City of Belgrade organized fireworks for the NYE, and there were many people participating in that historical event.

Europe entered New Year 2012 through Belgrade

NYE 2012 Belgrade
After several years under crisis, City of Belgrade decided to organize New Year's Eve just like the party capitol deserves. This time the slogan was "Belgrade, The Open Heart City". Squares were full of people from all around Europe. Traditionally, the most tourists came from Slovenia. Those people just can't imagine NYE without Belgrade, and of course by now, people of Belgrade consider them as locals. Also, very positive, tourists from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are coming in larger scale than before. The main NYE program was held in front of  renovated  National Assembly of Republic of  Serbia. The main performer was Serbian Rock band Van Gogh, mega popular throughout whole Balkan.
